Become a Brewer for a Day!

Step into Carillon Brewing Company for a unique 1850s experience. Join the Head Brewer and an assistant for a full day of historic brewing. Dressed in period costume you will learn the historical brewing process as you help make the day’s batch of brew.

$150 per person

$140 per person for brewery members and above

Reservations Required

 

Package Includes:
-8 full hours (approximately) of hands-on historical brewing,
-a tour of Carillon Historical Park,
-lunch in the Brewery,
-bake your own spent grain crackers from the day’s mash,
-a flight of our beers at the end of your day, and
-a growler of the beer you made when it is available (roughly 3 weeks after day of program).

 

This experience is reserved for guests 21 years and only. Participants must be able to climb steep stairs and lift 20 pounds. (What can we say, brewing the historical way is a tough job.)

11:00am-11:30am – Arrive, get in costume, overview of the day

11:30am-11:50am – Begin Mash

11:50am-1:00pm – Tour the Park

1:00pm-2:00pm – Sparge

2:00pm-3:00pm – Eat Lunch

3:00pm-4:00pm – Begin Boil/ Grain Milling

4:00pm-4:20pm – Fire Out

4:20pm-5:00 – Roast

5:00-5:20pm – Whirlpool the Wort

5:20-6:00 – Baking Spent Grain Crackers

6:00-7:00pm – Cooling the Wort

7:00-7:30pm – Beer Tasting with the Crackers You Make
